Stem Wave Therapy

If you are experiencing pain that is either acute or chronic, we may be able to help you here at Precision Injury Relief serving  Lake Highlands, Garland, Richardson, and Dallas, TX by performing a procedure known as StemWave therapy or soft wave therapy. You may be experiencing pain that has become debilitating. Chiropractic care is beneficial for providing non-invasive treatments to restore joint function, reduce pain, and so much more. StemWave therapy works by stimulating the body’s natural self-repairing processes. When you first visit our office, our chiropractor will assess your musculoskeletal system to determine whether or not StemWave therapy is right for you.

.

How it Works

Whether you are experiencing joint pain, knee pain, carpal tunnel, sciatica, ankle sprain, or even shoulder pain, you can experience a reduction of pain and acute inflammation through StemWave therapy. The StemWave machine works by stimulating your body’s natural healing process by promoting circulation and stem cell activity. To speed up the cellular healing process, the machine will send signals to your body to transfer stem cells to the injured area.

What you Can Expect

Trigger points will be identified using Tissue Regenerative Therapy (TRT) StemWave applicators. Every time you experience a pulse during the treatment, your level of pain should dispel. Our chiropractor will ask that you communicate your levels of pain so that you can receive the best outcome. The intensity of the process will be turned up once your trigger points have been located. The process will then be repeated between 2-3 more times. To experience long-term results, many patients will need between 6-8 treatments.

Following the treatment, most patients will experience an immediate reduction in pain. If you experience any of the following, it likely means the treatment has been successful:

  • Improvement in stability
  • A decrease in acute inflammation
  • A decrease in stiffness
  • An increase in mobility
  • A reduction in pain

Soreness can occur following treatment but should dissipate within a couple of days. It is recommended to not take NSAIDs such as naproxen or ibuprofen, and avoid exercising and using ice for at least two days. These should be followed to give your body the time it needs to heal and rest following your treatments.
